Quemahoning Family Recreation Area
The Quemahoning Family Recreation Area (QFRA) was established in 2004 through a joint venture of the Cambria Somerset Authority (CSA) and Summer's Best Two Weeks (SB2W).

For a fee, visitors to the QFRA are able to enjoy pavilions; a boat launch; picnic tables; fire rings/grills; a children's playground; horseshoe pits; tent, RV, and group camping sites; rustic cabins; restrooms and shower facilities; a swim beach, and basketball, softball, volleyball, and soccer facilities.

The QFRA is managed by Summer's Best Two Weeks. For reservations, inquiries, or more information about the park, call SB2W:  Silence at the Quemahoning

Please be sure to be properly licensed by the appropriate State agencies when fishing, boating, and hunting. PA Fish & Boat and Game Commission Regulations do apply. All boats must possess a use permit issued by the PA F&BC or PADCNR.

Maps & Directions
Directions to QFRA from Route 219:
Please note posted speed limits!

  • Take Hollsopple/Davidsville exit
  • Turn onto Route 403 South,
  • Follow Route 403 South (about 1/2 mile)
    • pass BP gas station, JR's Shoppe II
  • Turn right onto Route 601 South/Veterans St.
    • follow this for about 1 mile
  • Turn left onto Plank Road and immediately turn right onto Que Dam Road
  • Continue on the road around the Reservoir
    • follow this for approximately 5 1/2 miles
  • You will see a sign on your left to enter the QFRA

  • creation of a historical display of a Venturi meter and mini museum to display artifacts and photos
